Upgrade Bid is available on selected routes — enter your booking details below to verify your eligibility.

Step 2: Place your bid

We’ll email you at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time to confirm whether your bid has been accepted or not. Only accepted bids will be charged.

Step 3: Enjoy your upgrade

Once accepted, experience our award‑winning Business class or Premium Economy. Please note that the fare conditions, baggage allowance, and accrual of Asia Miles and Status Points are based on your original ticket.

If your Upgrade Bid is successful

All of our routes are eligible for Upgrade Bid. However, please note that Cathay Pacific retains the exclusive right to determine the eligibility of specific flights for participation in Upgrade Bid.

When will I be charged?

Your Upgrade Bid may be accepted any time within 50 hours of departure. If accepted, your credit card will be charged automatically. You can modify or cancel your bid up to 26 hours before the scheduled departure time, provided that the bid has not been accepted.

What is the bid amount range I can offer?

Each flight has a preset offer range that your bid must fall within. These amounts might vary at any time. You can submit a bid up to 26 hours before the scheduled departure time. Please note that the Upgrade Bid amount is separate from the cost of your original ticket.

When will I be notified if my offer is accepted?

We’ll email you at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time to confirm whether your bid has been accepted or not.
Please wait until you’ve received your bid status email before checking in, as we’re unable to process your upgrade once you’ve checked in online.
